A Bitcoin (BTC) wallet dating to the network's earliest period transferred 2,650 $BTC worth approximately $203 million to two crypto trading firms on Sunday, according to blockchain analysis provider Onchain Lens, citing data from Arkham.

The transfers were executed across three transactions, with the funds sent to FalconX and Cumberland. Both firms operate as institutional crypto trading and prime brokerage services. Onchain Lens reported the whale still holds approximately 6,000 $BTC, valued at around $462 million.

The wallet is classified as Satoshi-era, a designation for addresses that were active during Bitcoin's earliest mining period. It is not known whether the transfer was made in preparation for a sale, though movements of large holdings to trading firms of this type have historically preceded liquidations.

The transaction is part of a broader pattern of large $BTC movements in recent weeks. Earlier this month, a separate Bitcoin whale address moved 500 $BTC, approximately $40.6 million at the time, after 12 years of inactivity. The previous month, another whale transferred $20 million in $BTC to a crypto exchange.

$BTC was trading at $77,220 at the time of reporting, up 0.6% over the prior 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap. The asset reached an all-time high of around $126,000 in October 2025 and has traded below that level since. It briefly dropped to around $74,600 on Saturday before recovering.
